Dine above Berlin’s roofs

The 360° panorama view over Berlin from the TV Tower is a one-of-a-kind experience in itself but having a romantic dinner above the city at Restaurant Sphere makes it even more special. 207 meters located above the ground, this rotating restaurant guarantees a fantastic atmosphere, enriched by a Valentine’s Day menu.

Even if you prefer a romantic breakfast or lunch, the restaurant caters to all tastes with specialities such as North Sea crabs, a selection of fruits, smoked pork fillet or a vegan breakfast consisting of refined delicacies such as lemon quinoa salad, avocado spread and assorted jams. This restaurant truly takes you to cloud seven.

Dinner for (almost) all senses

What could be a better way to focus on all your senses on this special day than a dinner in the dark? The unsicht-Bar makes exactly that possible! Take a break from all the visual impressions surrounding you, focus on what you can feel during this scrumptious dinner and celebrate Valentine’s in a unique way.

Upon arrival you decide on the menu and will receive instructions for the dinner from your personal waiter. When immersed in the dark, you can really experience your food and the atmosphere with your other senses – feel a light breeze, enjoy the pure taste and focus on the presence of your partner.

Valentine’s Day in Berlin with a twist

Did you know that, according to the UN, a third of women and girls experience violence at some point in their lives? That is one billion women worldwide! The campaign of One Billion Rising brings everyone together in at the Brandenburg Gate to dance against violence against women and for respect under the motto “RISE for the Bodies of All Women, Girls & the Earth.”

This event may not be your usual way to celebrate Valentine’s Day but it certainly is a great experience to come together to honour love and demand an end to the violence. All while challenging traditional Valentine’s Day festivities through self-love and well-being on all levels, this is a great way to spend the day here by yourself, with your partner or friends.

Watch the sunset

A magical sunset when the warm light dips the city into a special atmosphere is always a great way to your Valentine’s date. Berlin has plenty of locations that are ideal to cuddle up and watch the sun go down. Experience an urban romantic sunset on the Tempelhofer Feld in the heart of the city or watch it from the Oberbaumbrücke made from red bricks.

The Landwehrkanal one the other hand may not allow you to see the sunset in full panorama but delights with a peaceful atmosphere while the sun light dazzles on the water of the Spree. For a magnificent view over Berlin you should climb the Drachenberg. The ascent of the hill will be rewarded with a the relaxing sunset and wide view over the city.
